Thanks for visiting my blog. This has been a fun journey over these past few years. I am the proud mother of five beautiful children ranging in age from 20 and spread pretty evenly down to one high-energy three-year-old.
My husband, Richard, and I have traveled the path of life together for 23 years–gratefully by the grace of our precious Lord.
My background is in writing and communications and therefore–I know you’ll find it shocking–I decided one rainy day to start a blog. (I had a fever of 103 and was nursing a newborn baby with one hand and surfing the web with the other – I must have been delirious.)
Blogging has had its ups and downs. The upside is it gives me a place to write. (Which had lead to some very nice work.) The down side is — I miss it when I can’t squeeze in the time to post. And at times, I get mired in the bigger issues of being Catholic in this world and become stymied on how my little stories of life even matter.
Stick with me. And let’s see what happens together as I attempt to raise saints in this very mixed up world.

I enjoy reading your blog, and am grateful for your humor. 🙂
I wanted to respond to your post on parenting pointers about picking up your daughter from school. We had to take my daughter out of college last fall due to illness, and it was a very stressful time. It was really tough to have her removed from her friends and usual routine. She was back in school by the second semester, but I just really wanted to let you know that you are in my prayers. If you need to talk about it, my email is rezacfamily@wildblue.net. I would be happy to share and/or listen.
God bless!
Barb
P.S. I also can SO relate to your thoughts about sending a child off to college being about like losing a limb. So true!!! I have gone through it 3 times now. I have only one at home now, and he’s a junior in high school. Yikes!
I would like to subscribe to your blog.
Thanks Barb. I’ll add a subscription link.
